Personality: Drake is one cocky and money hungry SoB, he works as a Champion mainly because it is one of the most lucrative jobs that still grant him freedom to move around. There hasn't been a single adversary he hasn't irritated to a point of going berserk...if this is tactics or just his way of being is still unknown. Because of his past Drake as a different view on life, he tries his best to only get attached to strong people, sometimes he doesn't even try forming ties with people because people that were dear to him were killed when he was younger. This all doesn't mean that Drake is not a good person, he may say that he's only in it for the cash but the fact is that he refuses most of the offers to represent evil people, much like Wolfwood, and doesn't hesitate much to help others. He has represented evil people before but only on minor offenses. People say he is an idiot because of the sometimes wacky and happy go lucky way he acts but the truth is that he is very intelligent, especially mechanics and combat strategies thus why he uses guns and seals over more physical way of battle. Drake just loves to get on Wolfwood's nerves and since he isn't very religious or chivalrous it gets easy to irritate his partner.

Specialty/Attributes: Guns and Seals, since Drake isn't very good at most physical things he chooses to take some distance between him and his foe and use clever plans to take him out. While his physical abilities are that great his intellect, aim and spiritual energy balance it all out. If one had to choose his best physical ability one would have to choose his speed because he is quite a fast little bugger at running away. From what he tells others and what the rumors say he has a 10/10 chance of hitting his target with ease.

Background History: Drake Cross is the son of two fairly well known Diviners, Michael Cross and Mary Cross who lived in the Etrogoth Mountains. Drake lived a happy life until the age of 7 when his parents designed a special seal that had immense power, it was a powerful release of energy which was equivalent to a Mk-82 (a bomb used during the Vietnam War which could blow up a house and then some), this seal of course became wanted by just about any company, organization and even the military but everyone was turned down as the Cross' didn't want that seal to be used as an advantage in a war if one would ever start. One day a man that wouldn't take no for an answer tried to persuade the Cross' into giving him the seal but they still refused and he seemed to give up, but the next day he returned with a group of man belonging to his company, he was a member of the Company Blood Paw, a small Company of only 5 or 6 professional champions who had trouble finding jobs because of their bad reputation. The group started to turn the house upside-down looking for the seal while beating both Michael and Mary as interrogation, luckily for Drake he was out visiting his cousin and big-sister like Ariane. The Cross' had hidden the the seal where only they could find it and because they refused to tell the Blood Paw members they were executed. When Drake returned home one day later he found that the house was burnt down and his parents were dead, obviously this scarred Drake psychologically but odly enough he didn't become an emo kid, no he continued to be a happy child only whenever his parents were mentioned he still stoke as if they were still alive and frequently asked his uncle and cousin when he would go home and saying that his parents should be worried.
Years later another tragedy struck when Ariane was raped and murdered, but this shock had a strange effect on Drake, instead of going emo or acting like when his parents were killed he seemed to wake up to the fact that his parents and Ariane were dead, oddly enough for a child his age he accepted the fact that they were dead and wouldn't return and that he should move on, he still wanted revenge of course but it wasn't his life's task. After this many things happened (see Wolfwood D Grimstone's story) and the man that murdered Ariane was executed.
When he was 11 he started to view money as the only friend that wouldn't die if he got to close, it was also here that he started training to become a Champion. After some time he returned to his parents house, or what was left of it and found, buried next to a tree where he and his parents used to play, a box containing the seal they had developed. Later Drake became the youngest member of Angel Reapers to attain Rank 3 and then later when he was 16 to attain Rank 2. He now travels with Wolfwood and their Clerk.
