Personality: Talk first, think later. This is Charlotte in a nutshell. If she had come from happier beginnings, she would definitely be a "light of the world" type, infectious laughter, beaming smile, the works. But having had to scrap through the early years of life, this sort of optimism has had to be tempered into brunt determination. This plucky teen will not be stopped by anyone or anything and no one can tell her otherwise. This can get her into trouble when she tackles projects she's not ready for.

History: Charlotte's young life has not been an easy one. Her mother died when giving birth to her, leaving her with her father and an older brother 7 years her senior. They lived a quiet, struggling life in a small Aldennian town as tailors, making and mending clothes for those far more wealthy than they were. But as life got more and more difficult and Charlotte grew old enough to work, her father decided to take a chance and left her and her brother to tend to the shop while he went off to search for a better life. Years went by without contact, and her brother decided that he would venture out to find him, selling the shop for money and sending Charlotte to live with her aunt, their father's sister. She disliked Charlotte and her father, the two having gone through an unsettled argument many years before and now considered his current actions foolish and irresponsible. For two years, Charlotte endured, but then seemed to blossom the same wanderlust as her family, having not heard from her brother either. Stealing into the night, Charlotte set off to find her brother and father, taking up an open crew position in the privateer ship, the Arrogant Cloud.
